“The agreement combines the UAE’s vision, along with France’s museum expertise, making this a universal museum in the age of globalisation. This connectedness and mindfulness are embedded in all aspects at the museum. Our galleries showcase works of art from around the world, from across eras and cultures, since the museum is fortunate to not only own a strong collection but also have the support of our French and regional partners that provide us with exceptional loans.” Essentially, a visit to Versailles and the World will not only introduce visitors to the synergy between France and the UAE, but will appeal to their humanity. “I want them to feel welcome first of all and I hope the visitors will be impressed by the works, but also understand why they are there. This exhibition reflects the story of Versailles and Louis XIV but also the story of humanity. I hope all visitors can find something related to their own story as they visit this exhibition,” said Rondot. “As a curator, I would like them to feel that the stories that they discover could have been, in some way, similar to theirs.” .
