The event brings together FBA’s full membership for two days of meetings, informative and educational speak- ers on hot topics impacting the corrugated packaging in- dustry, recreation, and plenty of networking time. Hotel reservations can be made by contacting the Ocean Reef Club. Ocean Reef Club’s traditions go back more than half-a-century to 1955, when the first 9-hole course opened. Today the Club boasts two championship 18-hole courses, a rarity in the Florida Keys – even among standard golf clubs.

Headquartered in Spain, Saica first ex- panded into the US market in 2022 with the opening of its first box plant in Hamil- ton, Ohio, about 20 miles north of Cincin- nati. Saica said the 360,000 square-foot building, which includes manufacturing, converting and production areas, has a production capacity of over 1,500 MSF/ year of corrugated board. Among its equipment investments was a 36” Bobst flexo folder gluer and a two-color 66” Bobst rotary die cutters. Saica said the Ohio plant was part of a previously announced $800 million invest- ment the company plans for the U.S. mar- ket, growing through strategic acquisitions or new plant construction during the next five years, as part of its global strategy. Saica has an annual production capac- ity of 3.3 million tons of recycled paper for corrugated board, according to its website. With more than 10,000 employees, the company has a presence in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Turkey, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United States and Poland. Saica Group has four business lines: manufacture of recycled paper for corru- gated board (Saica Paper), waste manage- ment and environmental services (Saica Natur), production of corrugated board packaging (Saica Pack) and flexible pack- aging (Saica Flex).
