ENERGY CONSULTANCY AND BUILDING COMPLIANCE TESTING
A s Northern Ireland’s longest uniquely placed to provide a one stop shop for energy consultancy and building compliance testing services for the University of Ulster Belfast Campus. EBSNI Ltd worked closely with Sacyr established and leading energy consultancy firm, EBSNI Ltd was and subcontractors from design through to completion to identify the key details and components required to achieve the desired results in accordance with the airtightness and acoustic design criteria. Through continuous site inspections and sample testing workshops onsite, EBSNI was able to highlight potential problem areas needing particular attention, provide proposed solutions which could be implemented and communicated results using regular on-site testing and feedback reports. Commenting on the completed project, VENTILATION F low-Tech Enviro Ltd was brought on board by main contractor Sacyr to ensure the ventilation and closed loop LTHW and CHW at the Ulster University Belfast Campus was proportionally balanced and commissioned in accordance with current BSRIA and CIBSE guidelines. This has aided in minimising this building’s carbon footprint and helped create the comfortable environment/ ambience that the Architect and Design Team had envisaged. The enormous size of the building and fast pace of the project made the works very challenging, but equally very rewarding on completion, said Director, Joe Dowden. He added, “We would like to thank Sacyr for their support throughout and also to all the M&E subcontractors who aided us along the way. This has been a huge team effort. “This state-of-the-art learning facility will only further enhance the vibrancy of Belfast City. We would like to congratulate Ulster University and all parties involved delivering this project.”
