T hornton Roofing (Ireland) Ltd completed the hot melt roofing works to Block BD of the Ulster University Belfast Campus. BIRD DETERRENT SYSTEM Similar to agricultural or security electric fences, this tactile scaring device uses a small electric shock to deter birds from unwanted areas without harming them. Quick to install using a glue track and P est control experts, Rentokil, supplied and installed an electrical bird control system to the new
Ulster University Belfast Campus. A thorough survey of the site location by Rentokil identified a potential threat to the longevity of the roofing materials posed by roosting Herring gulls and Feral pigeons. Following the survey’s findings, an Avishock electrical bird deterrent system was installed by Rentokil to the leading edge of the main roofs, raised roofs, plant room roofs and raised parapets amounting to 5,050m of track in total.
