Northern Ireland. These include Belfast Waterside, a development of 500 homes for the build-to-rent market by Moda Living in collaboration with Osborne + Co. The company is also working for high street giant, The Range, on several new stores including one that has recently completed and opened in Londonderry, and another that is planned for Sprucefield Retail Park near Lisburn. Tate Consulting has also won several projects in and around Dublin, including a substantial 450,000 sq ft. state-of-the- art distribution centre that is currently under construction for Primark. The Belfast team is also working on a variety of large-scale residential developments across England, including some of the finest homes currently being built in London in a scheme called Vetro. The stunning new 30-storey tower is being developed by Rockwell, at West India Dock Road, in London’s Canary Wharf. The chic apartments, with floor-to- ceiling windows, enjoy spectacular views across the city’s skyline and following the success of the scheme, Rockwell
has appointed Tate Consulting to work on its latest development, Hurlingham Waterfront. The scheme will see 269 luxurious apartments built on one of the last remaining waterfront locations on the Thames, close to Wandsworth Bridge in West London. Rockwell has also appointed Tate Consulting to work on a major new London office development, that will offer more than 200,000 sq ft. of Grade A space. A planning application for the scheme will be submitted towards the end of the year. Another high-profile project, that has just secured planning permission, will occupy a prime location in the historic city of York. The mixed-use development in the city centre, will be known as The Roman Quarter, and is a bold vision by Rougier Street Developments and North Star, which will redevelop the site with the York Archaeological Trust. Tate Consulting provided mechanical electrical and sustainability services on the project, which will include a world class Roman visitor attraction, office space, an aparthotel and new homes. Jim Lee said, “We currently have a
significant forward pipeline of work comprising of life sciences projects, industrial parks, retail developments and student accommodation schemes, as well as more than 2,500 apartments in varying stages of design, across Belfast, London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds and York. “We expanded into Belfast with the aim of building on our national reputation for always adding value to projects, delivering tangible results for clients and challenging designs to find more efficient and sustainable ways of doing things. It’s paying dividends and we’ve made a big impact in the market. We’re now building on our skilled team in Northern Ireland and attracting high- calibre engineers into our ranks, which makes it a very exciting time for us.” “The company focuses on being flexible and taking an integrated approach to projects with commercial engineering at the forefront of what it does.”
