Accounting Factors Influencing Student Adoption of the Suitable Application at Central Washington University: Benchmarking the College of Business Model for Campus- Wide Implementation Doan Le Project Mentor(s): Yong Joo Lee, PhD Student engagement platforms are increasingly used by universities to track student involvement, recognize co-curricular achievements, and enhance career readiness. At Central Washington University (CWU), the Suitable platform serves as a digital system for recording student participation in events, earning digital badges, and documenting experiential learning activities. However, the level of student adoption may vary across colleges and programs. This study examines the factors influencing student adoption of the Suitable platform at CWU. Drawing from information systems adoption frameworks, the research investigates key determinants such as perceived usefulness, ease of use, awareness of the platform, and the perceived value of digital badges. The study also explores differences in usage patterns between the College of Business and other academic colleges. Using survey data collected from CWU students, the analysis will evaluate adoption patterns and identify factors that significantly influence students’ decisions to engage with the platform. The College of Business, which appears to demonstrate higher levels of engagement, will be examined as a potential benchmark for broader institutional implementation. The findings aim to provide data-driven insights into system adoption behaviors and offer practical recommendations for improving campus-wide engagement strategies. Ultimately, the study seeks to support more effective implementation of student engagement technologies in higher education.
