TEAM MICHELLE THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND SUPPORT
Michelle Hyman is a native of Summerville who has excelled in every part of her life. She has worked hard as a director for our very own WCSC-TV Live 5 News for the last 11 years, while still finding the time to be an amazing daughter, a loving big sister, and a true friend to everyone she meets. While Michelle has faced many challenges in her life, none have been as difficult as the one she faces now. At the beginning of this year, Michelle was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. The burden of weekly chemotherapy treatments, appointments, and prescriptions has understandably drained her of her usual positive attitude, disrupted her work schedule, and left her tired and strained. But she’s not done fighting. Due to these taxing circumstances, Michelle’s friends and family have the following three requests for our wonderful readers: 1. Pray for Michelle’s renewed and continued strength. 2. Pray for a miracle. 3. Pray to help alleviate the financial hardships she finds herself in. Michelle’s family and friends want to do everything they can to eliminate at least one of the anxieties she has: her financial burden. It’s their hope and ours that we’ll be able to do just that — but we’ll need your help. The money donated will allow her to focus on resting and recovering from her treatments, as well as give her some much-needed peace of mind. I am proud to take up the torch. I will be participating in the donation program for her treatment and promise to match the first $2,500 that is donated to our good friend Michelle. If you want to help Michelle, I simply ask that you write the check out to “Dr. William Marshall,” and fill in the bottom line for “Team Michelle.” That way it’s easy for us to donate the money directly to her once we raise as much as we can.
