As of 1 June 2018, you need to apply for and renew your licence online using a computer, tablet or mobile phone. In most cases, your application will be processed faster and some fees will be reduced. Approximately 8 weeks before your licence expires, Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) will contact you at the email address and mobile phone number we have recorded for you. You can also phone our office on 1300 654 499 to check that we have your correct details. Please complete your online renewal as early as possible to avoid holding an expired licence card. Changes that affect you from 1 June 2018 You will: • Apply for or renew (re-application) your licence online 24 hours a day, 7 days per week as long as you have an internet connection • Pay for your fees online by credit card • Pay for your fingerprints check online and take your receipt to a police station to have your fingerprints taken • Pay less for a combined convictions history and district reports • Provide a Council Dog Registration and Canine Training Certificate (replaces Security Guard with dog form) We will: • Order a convictions history and district report for you • Send you a licence card after your renewal has been approved (14 working days) • Give you a My Licence account if you already hold a security agent licence My Licence account Your My Licence account is similar to an online bank account and you have access to it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As long as you have an internet connection and we have your current mobile phone number and email address, you can access your account.
