AiA18 Conference Announcement

We invite you to join us at Aging in America, March 26-29, in San Francisco.

OUR MISSION: ASA is the essential resource to cultivate leadership, advance knowledge and strengthen the skills of our members and others who work with, and on behalf of, older adults.

Each year, Aging in America provides a vibrant platform for bringing ASA’s Mission to life. Through our annual conference, ASA presents a comprehensive 360-degree view of the multidisciplinary issues, challenges and opportunities in aging. With a curriculum of 400 educa- tional programs presented by more than 1,000 faculty – experts in all facets of aging – we are able to connect and inform every profes- sional who works along the continuum of care and service in aging. Our program this year is organized within 11 professional program categories. In addition we are proud to feature eight “conference within a conference” weeklong learning experiences focusing on the following subjects:

n The Managed Care Academy Series n Aging, Disability and Technology n Diversity and Cultures of Aging n Policy and Advocacy

n Critical Issues in Elder Mistreatment and Elder Justice n Age-Friendly Livable Communities n Brain Health Across the Spectrum

As you’ve come to expect from ASA throughout the year, Aging in America features numerous programs on issues of policy and advocacy, as we recognize this is an unprecedented time for our nation’s commitment to addressing the critical issues affecting older adults, their families and those who serve them. The ASA Board approved an expanded policy voice for ASA and its members, because there is just too much at stake for all of us and those we represent and serve. In addition, ASA leaders will have specific policy and advocacy updates and messages to share as part of each General Session.

OUR VISION: The field of aging is diverse and highly skilled in the issues and opportunities facing older adults. As a result, the quality of life of older adults is enhanced.

By attending Aging in America, you will be a catalyst for bringing ASA’s vision to life in your community. ASA’s Executive Committee and CEO, and our Board of Directors and staff, look forward to welcoming you to Aging in America.
