LIFT MENTORING PROGRAM
MAKE A LONG-LASTING CONNECTION WITH SOMEONE WHO WILL EMPOWER YOU IN YOUR CAREER PATH!
The Lift Mentoring Program exposes EWF members to new and different perspectives and inspires them to self-reflect on their experiences, define and achieve their career goals, and help steer them through work-life challenges. GOALS OF THE LIFT MENTORING PROGRAM • Sharpen your skills and presence while increasing your effectiveness and readiness for promotion • Foster one-to-one connections and relationships • Harness the wealth of knowledge and experience of our community • Impact the underrepresentation and underutilization of women in InfoSec, IT Risk Management, and Privacy
PROGRAM DETAILS • Lift runs in a 6-month time frame (January - June, and July - December) • Participants commit to meet at least once per month for 45–60 minutes • Mentees identify goals at the beginning as a foundation for monthly discussions • Participants are matched outside of their organization MENTOR REQUIREMENTS
We encourage women with 6+ years of experience to consider being a mentor. We provide on-demand learning to support your development as a Lift Mentor. Being a mentor is a leadership development opportunity and helps to support the pipeline of women in our field. All mentors are also eligible to achieve an EWF Master Mentor designation that you can use to elevate your personal brand.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE The Lift Mentoring Program is a member- only program and requires a six-month commitment. EWF Members can enroll as mentees, mentors, or both.
ADVANCE IN YOUR CAREER The Women in Cybersecurity study indicates that mentorship is correlated with the success and satisfaction of women at all levels.
