• Do not submit until October 1, 2021 ! We legally cannot accept them until that date!
Agency EOP Orders Submitted Prior to October 1, 2021:
• If you send them earlier, they will be voided, and you’ll have to resend them. No exceptions!
• All agency orders must be separated by vendor. • Agency items must also be submitted on a separate order from Non-Agency items.
Separate Agency orders by Vendor:
• May 16, 2022 • Include the item number “ EOPTERM ” to indicate your customer is to receive May 16, 2022 terms; or you can enter a note about May 16 th terms in the Order Notes. Either way is fine. • If you don’t indicate anywhere on the order the customer wants May 16 th terms (either through the EOPTERM item number or in the order notes), the customer will receive their default payment terms (i.e. Net 30).
Non-Agency or Harrell’s EOP Terms for Turf Orders:
• Payment terms for agency products will automatically default to the vendor’s EOP terms. • I nclude the vendor’s EOP term in the Notes on the order.
▪ Sepro (10/1 – 12/10) – Terms July 1, 2022
▪
BASF (10/1 – 1/31) – Terms June 9, 2022
Agency EOP Terms:
▪
Syngenta o
▪ Bayer (10/1 – 12/6) – Terms June 3, 2022
Golf (10/1 – 12/8) – Terms June 24, 2022 o Lawn (10/1 – 2/28) – Terms June 24, 2022 ▪ Rep must indicate SYN Lawn Terms in Notes
▪ FMC (10/1 – 12/10) – Terms July 1, 2022
Customer DOES NOT want AGENCY EOP Terms:
• If the customer does not want to receive Agency EOP Terms (they want their default payment term i.e. Net 30 ), you MUST indicate that in the Order Notes .
9/15/2021 EOP Orders – Quick Reference Sheet (v SE)
•
• If the customer needs terms, outside of what has already been established (May 16, 2022) you must obtain approval from your Vice President and Sales Director before guaranteeing them to your customer.
“Other Special Terms” for Non-Agency Orders:
• You must include that you obtained approval from your VP and Sales Director in the Notes on the order.
• Important Note from LD and Kevin English! Even if the customer had the same special billing agreement last year, you must obtain approval again and enter that in the Notes on this year’s order. It will no t be given again automatically.
• If your customer wants to take advantage of EOP terms, but wants to pay by credit card at the time of delivery or when the invoice is due – you must indicate the Terms for the order, and not indicate to pay by credit card (our system will not handle this). If the customer wants to pay by credit card, they will need to call AR to pay with their credit card at that time.
Customer Wants EOP Terms but Wants to Pay with a Credit Card
• Bottom line -
o If you indicate Terms on the order – the customer will be invoiced and receive EOP terms (they can pay with credit card by calling AR at a later time).
o If you indicate credit card on the order – the customer will be charged immediately and not receive EOP terms.
Handled the same way as last year.
•
• Include the phrase “ Bill and Hold ” in the Notes on the order if you know the customer wants to participate in B&H.
• Please be aware , all agency orders shipping in future months will be processed automatically as a Bill and Hold, unless you tell Customer Service and Accounting not to Bill and Hold the order in the Order Notes. • If product is billed in 2021 and delivered in 2022, we require a Sales Acknowledgment Form to be signed by the customer after January 1, 2022. • Sales Acknowledgement Forms - after the first of the year, Acct will generate the forms for each customer we are still holding product for and will send the forms directly to the customer to sign and return. More info to follow later.
Bill & Holds:
• Note: Bill and Holds do not apply to granular fertilizers. Exceptions must obtain approval from Dave Schermerhorn.
• If you know an estimate of the ship dates the customer wants the certain products, separate your orders by Ship Date, if possible. This is extremely helpful to Operations, Accounting, and your customer’s Accounting Department. • Please do not enter January 1, 2022 as your ship date, if your customer does not really want the product on January 1 st . But, instead enter a more realistic/tentative ship date. You can call Operations with an updated ship date as the time gets closer. Remember, all of our internal Operations/Inventory reports for stock products are based on Requested Ship Date.
Customer wants multiple ship dates:

SAR w = Sodium adsorption ratio of water
www.harrells.com | 800.282.8007 Employee -Owned
Use the tables on this page to assess the impact of irrigation water on soil water infiltration
Table 7. Assessing soils for sodium problems related to water infiltration. Use the following equation to determine the Sodium Adsorption Ratio of the irrigation water: SAR = Na + /(sqrtCa +2 + Mg +2 /2) = meq/L Example: Water sample reports the following:
Na + = 1,000 ppm Ca +2 = 200 ppm Mg +2 = 100 ppm 1. Convert ppm to meq/L.
Table 9. Assessing irrigation water for excessive carbonates (CO 3 -2 ) and bicarbonates (HCO s -) in relation to calcium and magnesium which may lead to soil deflocculation. Use the following equation to determine the Residual Sodium Carbonate (RSC) value of the irrigation water: RSC = (CO 3 -2 + HCO s -) – (Ca 2+ + Mg 2+ ) in meq/L Example: Water sample reports the following: CO 3 -2 = 6 ppm HCO s - = 183 ppm
Na + = 1,000 ppm /23 = 44 meq/L Ca +2 = 200 ppm/20 = 10 meq/L Mg +2 = 100 ppm/12.2 = 8.2 meq/L
2. Place values into SAR equation: 44/(sqrt10+8.2/2) = 20.6 3. Use the following table to determine potential sodium hazard SAR w values, categories, and precautions for irrigation sources with ECw > 1dS/m SAR (meq/L) Sodium Hazard Precaution 0-10 low Na water Little danger from structure deterioration to soil. 10-18

Managing Poor IrrigationWater Quality Professional Solutions to Overcome these Challenges
The use of reclaimed (or) poor irrigation water quality often results in: 1. Reduced water infiltration 2. Increased accumulation of bicarbonate precipitates 3. High soil pH 4. Destruction of soil structure leading to a poorly oxygenated root zone 5. Decreased micronutrient availability
3 techniques to address poor quality irrigation water include: 1. Dissolve bicarbonate precipitates, this will assist in decreasing soil pH 2. Adding high quality, soluble calcium (Ca 2+ ), magnesium (Mg 2+ ), and potassium (K + ) to displace sodium (Na + ) and improve soil structure 3. Using a proven wetting agent to increase water infiltration, distribution, and increase gas exchange
RECOMMENDATION FOR SUCCESS Harrell’s has developed and formulated several key sprayable products to help you manage and offset the adverse affects from poor irrigation water quality. We recommend you implement a combination of these Sodium and Bicarbonate Remediation Management products using a program approach combined with Fleet®. Fleet® improves water infiltration and improves water distribution throughout the root zone, allowing for maximum displacement of sodium and bicarbonates.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: - Must Fleet® be irrigated in immediately after application?
o No, but Fleet® should be irrigated to the desired soil depth within 12 hours of application.
- Will Fleet® cause phytotoxicity if not irrigated in immediately? o Fleet® applied alone does not typically cause phytotoxicity. Fleet® in combination with other tank mix partners may cause phytotoxicity, especially when sprayed under very dry or hot conditions. Follow manufacturer label instructions for all products and test all tank mixtures in a small area prior to wide-scale application. - What is the ideal application volume for Fleet® and how much irrigation is sufficient after application? o Fleet® should be applied in 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet. Fleet® application should be followed by 0.5 to 1 inch of irrigation, or adequate irrigation to move Fleet® through the soil profile to the desired soil depth. - Can Fleet® be lightly irrigated immediately following application then heavily irrigated the following night? o Yes; however, Fleet® may become “locked” into the top portion of the soil profile following a light irrigation. A second Fleet® application followed immediately by a deep irrigation cycle or rainfall event can overcome this effect. - What is the correlation between organic matter percentage and Fleet® performance? o There is no correlation. However, compared to low organic matter soils, root zones high in organic matter require more irrigation following application in order to distribute Fleet® evenly throughout the root zone to the desired soil depth. - Can Fleet® be applied in tank mix with other products such as contact fungicides and Primo Maxx? o It is recommended that Fleet® be applied alone or with soil-directed products, e.g., EarthMAX, Max Calcium, Potassium Silicate, etc. - What happens if Fleet® is tank-mixed with another wetting agent? o Field experience has demonstrated that combination of Fleet® with another wetting agent will increase soil water holding capacity relative to an application of Fleet® alone. - Can Fleet® be applied prior to a predicted rainstorm? o Yes, a rain event can effectively distribute Fleet® throughout the root zone if total rainfall volume is adequate to move Fleet® to the desired soil depth. - Can too much irrigation be applied following Fleet® application? o Irrigation cycles typical to golf course management are not sufficient to flush Fleet® through the root zone. A severe rain event could move the chemistry past the desired depth in soils with high hydraulic conductivity.

Case Studies
On a course in the northeast with no fairway irrigation, Hydro-90® was applied at a rate of 10 oz. per 1000 sq ft on June 9. The course received virtually no rain for two months. Under near drought conditions, the entire fairway resembled the far right of the photo. On August 10 the course received significant rainfall, and by August 12 the fairway returned to the lush, vibrant playing conditions exhibited in the left of the photo. The white line indicates the boundary where Hyrdro-90® was applied.
“The 8oz rate of the Hydro-90 on our fairways is an absolute game changer. On my 15 th fairway we used to water several times throughout the day and have yet to run anything but overnight water on it so far this year.
We would syringe 2-3 times every afternoon- haven’t turned a single head on besides night water in 2016.”
Andrew Puddester -Superintendent Crofton Country Club Crofton, MD
“We use the Hydro-90 to increase the efficiency of our irrigation cycles. Its ability to maintain moisture in the rootzone has allowed us to reduce our fairway irrigation needs by 50%.” ~ Tom Newkirk, Superintendent Elmira Country Club, Elmira, NY.
