Kendal at Longwood Health Center and Independent Living Apartments

Location: Kennett Square, PA Size: 172,976 SF

Size: 124,000 SF New, 24,000 SF Renovation Preconstruction and construction management services to construct a new four-story wood-framed senior living apartment building and multi-phased dining renovations. The apartment building includes 70 independent living apartments, a two-story connector link to the commons building, expanded parking, and extensive campus utility relocation work. The dining renovations included adding a second main kitchen for meal services, expanded restaurant-style dining amenities, a new coffee shop and grab-n-go market, upgraded lobby spaces, repositioning of the connections to the apartment buildings, and additional utility space for upgraded services.

Benchmark Construction is completing a 172,976 s/f expansion for Kendal at Longwood. This project includes a fresh addition of 88,064 s/f of new construction alongside an extensive 84,912 s/f of modern renovations. The project includes 20 Independent Living Units, and 113 Healthcare units, designed with comfort and safety in mind. Not only will residents enjoy a brand-new courtyard perfect for relaxation and socializing, but they will also benefit from enhanced outdoor amenities including additional sidewalks and scenic walking paths. Added resident storage spaces and a large gathering room provide convenient solutions and areas for community activities.
