South Patrol Division Grand Opening On July 29, the Fort Worth Police Department held the grand opening of the new South Patrol Division headquarters locat- ed at 3501 W. Risinger Road. Mayor Mattie Parker and Coun- cilmembers attended the event. The facility was funded by the 2018 Bond Program and the Crime Control Prevention District. It was designed by Callahan and Freeman Architects, and built by CORE Construction. The facility replaced a store- front lease at 7650 McCart and the City - owned facility at 3128 W. Bolt. Women of Law Enforcement Conference Approximately 500 female police officers from more than 121 law enforcement agencies around the country attended the 10th Annual Women of Law Enforcement Conference September 16 - 20 at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex. The officers had five days of action - packed training including defensive tactics, mental health, wellness, financial, fitness, moral injury, and motivational speakers. A promotions ceremony was held July 25 that included the promotion of Randy Molina to Commander, Christopher Britt to Captain, Juan Frias to Lieutenant and two to Sergeant. Congratulations! On August 9, FWPD hosted a graduation ceremony for Lateral Enforcement Officer Class 9. The class added 14 experienced officers to the force. Welcome to FWPD! FWPD Lateral Class 9 Graduation
Fort Worth Police were among first responder agencies that participated in Lone Star Elementary parade tribute to First Responders. The events included a parade, fist bumps, hand shakes, and thank you cards for the officers to commemorate First Responders ’ actions on September 11, 2001. Lone Star Elementary Tribute
