We diligently breed to improve docility, but as we all know, every animal behaves differently. We want to provide our customers with an additional tool for bull selection, beyond just the docility EPD. As bulls are handled, specifically when isolated, we have individu - ally scored every single bull in the sale. Here’s how it works: • A score of 1 means the bull is extremely docile, to the point where you may have to walk up to it to get it to move away from you. • A score of 2 indicates a docile, gentle disposition, but the bull will willingly move around slowly in a pen when isolated. • A score of 3 is slightly nervous; the bull moves out well and dis- plays some energy. • A score of 4 indicates high energy, and we will not sell a bull with this score. Bulls displaying this level of disposition would be culled and processed for hamburger at any given time.
