The believer who has within him the fountain of living waters becomes rivers of living waters to others. III. Man’s attitude towards the Christ who made such claims. 1. Division, caused. Various questions aroused, critical inquiry, unsettled opinions, anger, disappointment. 2. Candid seekers. Some, coming to drink, have tasted Salvation “Salvation is one of the most compre­ hensive words in the Bible. It commences with the Genesis of God’s grace and ends with the Revelation of His glory.” 1. The Rock of Salvation tells of its reliable foundation (Deuteronomy 32:15; 2 Samuel 22:47). 2. The Tower of Salvation provides safe protection (2 Samuel 22:51). 3. The Horn of Salvation proclaims its strength (Psalm 18:2; Luke 1:69). 4. The Joy of Salvation sings of its gladness (Psalm 51:12). 5. The Cup of Salvation tells of its con­ tents (Psalm 116:13). 6. The Wells of Salvation assure us of God’s supply (Isaiah 12:3). 7. The Strength of Salvation denotes its ability (Isaiah 33:6). 8. The, Garments of Salvation indicate its graces (Isaiah 61:10). — Selected. “Yourselves” 1. Reckon yourselves dead to sin (Romans 6 : 11 ). 2. Yield yourselves to God (Romans 6:13). 3. Arm yourselves (1 Peter 4:1). 4. Keep yourselves from idols (1 John 5:21). 5. Build up yourselves (Jude 20).

They said, “never man so spake,” but they did not believe on Him because scholarship did not, and because of a misunderstanding of v:Scripture. 4. Open opposition.
