A busy past few months for PMK have included awards success alongside its strategic rebrand. The family business picked up two accolades at the Northern Ireland Electrical Awards held in Titanic Belfast on June 6. As well as lifting Contractor of the Year (Medium), PMK was highly commended for City Square House in Leeds in the Commercial Project of the Year under £5m category. The event, hosted by Ireland’s Electrical Magazine, brought together leading professionals from across the electrical industry to recognise excellence and innovation. Peter McKearney, Managing Director, said, “It’s a real honour to be recognised alongside some of the best in the industry. These awards are a reflection of the commitment and hard work our team puts in every day. Securing high-profile contracts across the UK and Ireland

Entering its latest phase of expansion, PMK’s pipeline of prestigious projects includes:

Vita Student New Waverley, Edinburgh PMK has been awarded the full electrical installation package for a new Vita Student residence at New Waverley North, part of the prestigious £240m New Waverley regeneration project in the heart of Edinburgh’s UNESCO World Heritage site. Vita Student New Waverley, Edinburgh. The new development will deliver 267 units of high-quality student accommodation, including 207 studio apartments and 60 cluster rooms, alongside a wide range of premium amenities. Designed to enhance the student experience, the building will feature a state-of-the-art gym and dedicated social and study spaces. PMK has been engaged by main contractor McAleer & Rushe to deliver the full electrical package, including: • Main switchgear and sub-mains distribution • Life safety generator and distribution systems • Full lighting and general power installation • Fire alarm and security systems • IT network and audio-visual installation • Photovoltaic system installation

Construction began in July 2025, marking a significant milestone in the development of this vital new resource. Once completed, Daisy Lodge will provide children from across the island of Ireland who are impacted by cancer, along with their families, with a safe, restorative space where they can focus on spending quality time together.
