FLANGE PROTECTORS
Flange protector bands are used to protect flange faces from corrosion.
The construction materials consist of a 316L stainless steel band , clamps and zerk fittings. The flange band has a closed cell sponge rubber lining.
Flange bands are tailored for each individual flange. When the band is secured around the madeup flanges, grease can be injected through the zerk fittings. The grease will fill the open area between the two flanges, thus excluding moisture and air.
Flange bands are often used in environments such as processing plants with corrosive atmospheres, offshore drilling platforms, brine wells, etc.
