These are just a few challenges that can contribute to social isolation and limited ability to engage with others, or interact in social settings. Although there have been some changes over the years to provide accommodations, there is still a need for much more. For the primary caregiver, this also impacts their life as well. Many people with disabilities are looking for a means to have access to the things that they need, and to participate in life without discrimination or extreme difficulty. Although “people with disabilities” sometimes refers to a single population, this is a diverse group of people with a wide range of needs. Two people with the same type of disability can be affected in very different ways. Some disabilities may be hidden or not easy to see. 2 Grouping everyone in the same category should be avoided when trying to meet a person’s specific needs.

Steps to Continue Protecting Yourself from COVID-19
