long the Lord will let us live; we may have a very short life like him, so let us fill our days with service for Jesus that when we do go to be with Him we, too, will take many others with us. What Bible Stories Did Jean Read? Jean read two stories in her Bible. She first read in the Old Testament about a baby boy who was bom long ago down in Egypt. His mother placed him in a basket cradle and left him in the river among the flags. He was found by a princess. Then Jean read in the New Testa ment about a man who was very short of stature. He climbed up into a tree in order that he might see the Lord Jesus when He passed by. The Lord Jesus spent the night in the man’s home. What stories did Jean read in her Bible, and where are they found? "Fear N o t" Two boys were alone with their father in a compartment of a railway train. In the course of their journey they had to pass through a long tun nel, and as there was no light in the compartment they were plunged in total darkness. The boys were afraid, and drew near to their father, and placed their hands in his. He told them it was all right and bade them not to fear. His presence and his word gave them com fort and cheer until they were through the tunnel and in the daylight again. How sweet is the Lord’s word to His people, “ Fear thou not: for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God” (Isa. 41:10). And again He says, “ I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, I will not fear” (Heb. 13:6). —From “Signposts on Life’s W ay.” by Inglis Fleming I would like to be a pen pal.
