PROPER SKINCARE ROUTINE

STEP 1

Cleanser | AM/PM

1.

Cleansers are arguably one of, if not the, most important step in skincare. In order for all the other product’s ingredients to absorb into your skin properly, washing o the debris from the day is a must! The same goes for applying skincare in the morning! If applying a full face of makeup is part of your morning routine starting with a fresh canvas is the only option for everything to sit properly.

1. Serums are super-concentrated, nutrient-dense treatments that target specific concerns such as repairing your skin’s protective barrier. Makari serums are great for hydrating skin as well easing inflammation due to the organic ingredients. Serum | AM/PM STEP 2

1. Toners are used to balance out your skin’s pH and can be used twice a day as long as your skin can handle it. If your skin becomes dry, red or itchy, reduce use of the toner.

Moisturizer | AM/PM STEP 4

1. There’s this common misconception that you only need to moisturize once a day and an even more inaccurate one that if you have oily, acne prone skin you should skip this step altogether. We’re going to debunk that misconception right now. No matter your skin type, hydration is important. And it helps to lock in all the ingredients that you previously applied in your routine! Remember that. While you might have oily skin and don’t want to make it worse, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t an option for you! Try a water-based moisturizer that won’t add to what you’re trying to reduce. There’s a formula for everyone! In the morning, opt for a lighter weight formula, ideally one with SPF as it’s two steps in one. And for the nighttime, try a formula packed full with ingredients that your body naturally produces and can use more of as it starts to replenish your skin overnight. 2.

1. The bare minimum of sunscreen that you should be using SPF-wise is 30. Sunscreen is another key component that should be used no matter the weather. That’s right. Even if it’s snowing the sun’s powerful rays will still find you, no matter how chilly it is outside. The sun’s rays can lead to hyperpigmentation, skin cancer, and more, all which should be avoided.
