INTERNET SENSATION, PB PLUMBER, LAYS DOWN THE TRADESMAN CHALLENGE TO BEGGS & PARTNERS…
Bend it like PB Plumber
T he pride of Northern Ireland’s plumbing during November with the Tradesmen Challenge held at Beggs & Partners branches throughout the region. The light-hearted contest saw customers, staff and plumbing students pitted against internet sensation, PB Plumber, during a variety of plumbing tasks using equipment from key Beggs & Partners’ suppliers. PB Plumber focuses on providing plumbing solutions, community was at stake hints and tips to his 74k twitter followers and 48k subscribers to his YouTube channel. Lawton Tubes began to involve PB Plumber at some of their trade/installer events in GB and found that this copper bending challenges really caught the imagination of customers. When Lawton – a key PHG supplier to Beggs – planned to visit NI branches, Beggs and Partners Sales Director, Richard Robinson, saw the potential opportunity to generate some good
customer interaction by creating a Tradesmen Challenge event in the branches. Other suppliers were added including: Geberit (speed challenge for frame installation), Rothenberger, EPH Controls and PY Aaalberts. Each branch invited their core customer base as well as local college students to the events which were a great hit with students and trades alike. Food and drinks were supplied which made the event even more relaxed and enjoyable. Feedback from the suppliers and PB was really positive. They were delighted to have an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with Beggs & Partners, showcase innovative, quality products while engaging with their team, customers and future customers.
