Murphy and Kelly provide mechanical installs at Mount Congreve House and Gardens

Murphy and Kelly (Thomastown) LTD are delighted to have been involved in the mechanical works at the development of Mount Congreve House and Gardens in Co. Waterford. The historical garden and woodlands are a world-class tourist destination and home to one of the largest private collections of plants in the world. The services provided by Murphy and Kelly comprised the complete installation of ventilation systems, including an AHU with DX cooling, HRUs, complete water services, heat pumps, BMS, underfloor heating and water treatment. All the ventilation ductwork was produced in-house at the company’s manufacturing facility in Co. Kilkenny. The old stables courtyard was covered with a glass roof to create a unique space. The works will provide enhanced visitor amenities

including a new visitor centre, with cafe and retail spaces. The completed project is a credit to Ormonde Construction as the main contractor and RMCE as M&E

consultant engineers. Michael Walsh, Chief

Executive of the Waterford City and County Council, said that the investment in Mount Congreve House and Gardens will consolidate its position as one of the great gardens of the world, “Not only will the works enhance the house and grounds, they will deliver a world-class visitor centre in the heart of the Southeast.” Murphy and Kelly are proud to be a small part of the history of the estate. Upon completion, the tourism destination should attract 150,000 visitors annually and provide an enhanced visitor experience to the gardens and planted woodlands. www.murphyandkelly.ie

Contractors Michael Nugent rebranded as NUGENT

With almost 300 staff and a strong forward order book, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors Michael Nugent Ltd are entering a new phase under a new brand: NUGENT. The company felt it was an appropriate time to pause and reflect on where they have been, where they are going and to refresh their brand to reflect both. The rebranding also included a new logo and a totally new website, with in-depth information on all the prestigious MEP projects that carry the NUGENT mark of excellence. Now visitors and clients can learn more about NUGENT’s work in commercial, education, healthcare, heritage, hospitality and leisure, life sciences and residential sites. Managing Director, Ryan Nugent says, “We’ve been

working on the rebranding since 2019 alongside our Beyond 60 Strategy. The theme, STRONG PAST, BRIGHT FUTURE recognises our heritage and our ambition. It reflects the culture that has always been present in NUGENT, and always will be”. The board of directors interviewed employees and clients to drill

down their DNA, and the process elected six

fantastic company values: Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity & Trust, Innovation, and People & Passion. Ryan continues, “We will continue placing our clients at the heart of everything we do as their strategic partner of choice and delivering leading edge MEP solutions that push industry boundaries”. www.nugent.com
