Ghost Mountain Ranch is a family oriented camping resort in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas near the historic gold mining town of Placerville. It is situated right on the snow line, a half-hour from the rugged grandeur and beauty of Echo Summit and a half-hour from Lake Tahoe. An authentic ghost town and the remains of what was once one of the richest gold mines in the area are on the 325-acre pine preserve. DIRECTIONS: From Sacramento: Hwy 50 E to first Pollock Pines Ex. Turn L under the freeway. Turn R on Pony Express Trl. Turn L on Blair Rd and L on Badger Hill Rd. Follow signs.
