sized swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, and wading pools for the kids. The pools are heated in the winter. Poolside is a bar and restaurant with outside seating. Pool games and contests for the kids and water volleyball games for the adults are organized. The fully staffed River Rats Kids Club at Emerald Cove Resort is the perfect way to keep your kids busy while you relax and enjoy some adult time. Kids are supervised by the staff and will have their choice to do artwork, beading, woodwork, play X-Box games, enjoy video games in the new arcade, or one of many other planned activities. You can also exercise your pet at the riverfront dog park with beach access and another full dog park. If golf is your game, check out the newly remodeled 18- hole mini-golf course, while across the street is a 9-hole golf course at Jack Ass Flats. The 9-hole course is named for the wild burros that wander the area around Emerald Cove. Be sure to watch out for them when driving near the resort.

If you’re an RVer who loves all things water, head your RV to the California side of the Colorado River and pull your rig into Emerald Cove Resort in Earp, California. Sites include a variety of terrains including right on the white sandy beaches of the Colorado River. Activities, of course, center around the river that glides through the desert terrain—the perfect place for water-skiing, inner- tube rides, and fishing. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year—and a unique mix of tranquil waters, rugged mountains, and tons of fun—it’s hard to stay inside. Everywhere you look, folks are hiking, biking, boating, fishing, golfing, off-roading, and enjoying seasonal events. Touring, dining, and shopping at nearby Lake Havasu can give you a break from non-stop fun on the water. While there, you can also visit the city’s transplanted historic London Bridge.
