RATINGS Coast to Coast utilizes the same Good Sam rating system featured in the Good Sam Campground and Coupon Guide. Based on a scale from one to 10, with 10 being the highest, Good Sam’s three-part ratings give an overview of the amenities, cleanliness and environment that each facility has to offer. THE FIRST rating judges facilities and amenities, such as interior roads, registration area, RV sites and hook-ups, security, recreational equipment, swimming, laundry facilities and building maintenance. THE SECOND rating gauges cleanliness and completeness of bathrooms. Inspectors rate the tidiness of toilets, walls, showers, sinks, counters, mirrors and floor. Full points in each area earns a H following the second number. THE THIRD rating deals with visual appearance and environmental quality, measuring the aesthetics of the entrance, landscaping and grounds and how harmoniously the facilities blend with the natural surroundings. Good Sam ratings have a maximum score of 10/10 H /10 and are determined by highly trained inspectors who annually visit and rate thousands of North American RV parks and campgrounds.
