In 1995, Dr. Walker established the Walker School of Business. Dr. Walker and his wife, the late Catherine McDonough Walker, were exceedingly generous in their philanthropy as ardent supporters of the university and the Sisters of Mercy. The university honored the couple in christening the Catherine McDonough Walker Reading Room in Hammermill Library and the Barrett and Catherine Walker Recital Hall.
