In just one month 12 .Mo hammedan boys were received into the new Home in the Jordan. The homes in China and Lebanon continue to serve the needs of the desti tute children, "helping the helpless to help themselves." Your prayer interest is re quested. You will want to secure the story of "God’s Other Chil dren," and have one of our missionary speakers. Write for-particulars.

A Vital Matter Needing Your Earnest Consideration The founder of the American European Bethel Mission (with 50 years of missionary experience) recently returned from visiting the Mission Sta tions in Europe and Israel, Palestine. It was by Grace Divine that a Home fo r or phans and other destitute children was recently established at the foot of Mt. Carmel. THIS INSTITUTION IS INTERDENOMINATIONAL, NON-SECTARIAN AND THOROUGHLY EVAN GELICAL. THE MAINTENANCE OF THE ORPHANAGE This greatly needed institution, like the other branches of the A.E. Bethel Mission, is utterly dependent upon the Lord. Therefore, it needs the friendly co-operation by prayer and freewill offer ings o f all Christian friends who are interested in rescuing little children and preaching the Gospel o f the Messiah to the people o f the Messiah. COLORED FILMS Churches, Sunday Schools and other Christian gatherings would highly appreciate seeing the ex clusive film in color taken by the Founder in Israel and in Europe. N EVER in the history of missions has such a unique opportunity to to missionaries. The authorities are anxious to secure missionaries; the people welcome us. How has this come about? Here is the story in a nut shell. For the last three hundred years the Chinese have been migrating to Malaya, at first in small groups, but in the last fifty years in larger numbers until now they total about three million, or approxi mately fifty per cent of the population. These became squatters on the land, not agriculturists, for there is very little farming in Malaya, but rubber tappers and tin mine workers. Naturally many of them have become wealthy; in fact, the majority of them are comfortably off and there is little poverty in Malaya. Then came the emergency after the Japanese surrender. The Chinese who were guerrilla fighters against the Japa nese in Malaya were communist-led men who hoped to capture the whole of *Missionary of the China Inland Mission, Representative of the Church of the Open Door.

Malaya for Moscow. After the commu nists took to the jungle, and began the terrorism, the government decided on a brilliant but bold plan. The Chinese squatters scattered all over the jungle have been moved—lock, stock and barrel—into newly-created camps, really villages. These have barb ed wire around them and are protected by security police. Curfew is from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and anyone moving around after that hour outside of camp is shot on sight. But these camps work two ways: first, they protect the Chinese people from being tortured, shot and mutilated by the communist guerrillas who are after food, arms, money and young recruits from the Chinese. Then, second, the very fact of the Chinese (not the Malays) being in villages and pro tected will gradually reduce the com munists to semi-starvation, (they will al ways get coconuts and bananas growing wild) and cut off their supplies. Now what has all of this to do with a missionary challenge? Everything! If these thousands of Chinese had not been brought from the jungle into villages, they could never be evangelized.
