inside out. Again print the word “ FOL LOW” in the same relative position, to the left of the fold, using a purple crayon. To the left, in the relative posi tion of the “U,” draw a red cross, reach ing from top to bottom. Open the paper with the red cross facing up, and use the letters in the word “ FOLLOW” as the initial letters in the following words, which should be completed to the right of the fold: “ FAITH, OBEDIENCE, LOVE, LOYALTY, ONENESS, and WILLINGNESS.” Use a purple crayon. Fold the right half of the paper back over the red cross. Cut horizontally through the “ U” and between the letters of the word “ FOLLOW” from the left side of the paper to the fold. Begin the lesson with the “U” and the word “ FOL LOW” showing.)

Ian. 27, 1952 C ash ing A B ig C heck Object: A large piece of paper, let tered to represent a check. Lesson: I am going to tell you about the most generous check in the world. This check is drawn on “ The Bank of Heaven.” Just under the name of the bank, I read, “ Resources: The Unsearch able Riches of Christ.” A check must have on it the name of the person to whom the money is to be paid. This one reads, “ Whosoever be- lieveth in him” (John 3:16). The amount is, “ Life Eternal.” When God says “ Whosoever,” I know that I am in cluded. When the Bible speaks of be lieving on Christ it means to accept Him as the One who died for our sins on the cross. On the next line of the check we read, “ They shall never perish.” The one who signs a check promises to give from his account at the bank the amount named in the check. This check has at the bottom the name of the One who in His own Word makes the promise. The name is “ God, the Father.” If we accept God’s salvation check, He will keep His promise and will give us eternal life. The date on this check is, “Now is the day of salvation.” It is the will- of God that we cash our salvation check at once, and not put it off until tomor row. Tomorrow may never come. When you take to the bank a check made out to you, you have to write your name on the back of it before you get your money. As I turn this check over, I read, “ I hereby accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour, and trust His precious blood to cleanse me from all sin.” There is a place for me to write my own name. My name is written here because I already have accepted Christ as my Saviour. God does not give eternal life to those who refuse' to accept Christ as Saviour.

Lesson: We will let this “U” remind us of Matthew, the man whom the Lord Jesus called to follow- Him. Looking closely, you will notice that there is the word “ FOLLOW.” Did you ever wonder what it takes to follow Jesus? Perhaps if we unfold this paper we shall see. The first word we find is “ FAITH.” Faith in Christ caused Matthew to fol low. The next word is “ OBEDIENCE.” God’s call must be obeyed if anyone is to follow Him. As we further open the paper, we see that “ LOVE” enters into those following Christ. “ LOYALTY” is the fourth word which we discover. Have you noticed that the “U” is getting smaller? As we follow Christ, self de creases. “ ONENESS” is the next word showing us more of what it means to follow Christ. This means to agree with Him in all things. The last word is “WILLINGNESS.” Notice that the “U” is entirely gone, and the cross of Christ takes its place. Today we need to get rid of self and follow Christ as did Matthew. Are there those here who would like to put their names on the salvation check? I do not mean put your name on this piece of paper. I am referring to taking Christ as your own personal Saviour from sin. Christ gave Nico- demus, the ruler who came to Jesus by night, an opportunity to sign his name to this check. He gives us the same invitation today, when vHe says “ Who soever will.” T H E K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S
