MERMAID UNIVERSITY Calling all Mermen, Mermaids and Merfolk! Come join us to learn how to safely swim with a tail. We provide different colored tails in all sizes. Participants will become certified and will receive a card to allow them to continue using the tail whenever they may like when visiting the pool. Families are highly encouraged to participate together! January 14 and April 15 / 1-2:30 p.m. $45 6+ years RCN lifeguard, but are too young to get certified? Now’s your chance to become a Junior Lifeguard! Learn how to work as a team, how to recognize a victim and shadow actual lifeguards. There will be both classroom training as well as in-water skills practice. You will have a lunch break every day so please make sure you bring a packed lunch. March 13 – 17 / 10 a.m.-3 p.m. $75 11-14 years RCN JUNIOR LIFEGUARD CLASS Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a

ADULT LESSONS Designed to develop confidence and basic skills in the adult swimmer, adult lessons are geared toward the needs of the class. Comfort and flotation in the water, basic survival, front crawl, back crawl, treading water and basic water safety are just a few of the skills taught. Classes consist of eight (8) 45-minute lessons; two (2) days a week for four (4) weeks.

FLOAT ‘N FLICK You’ve all heard of drive-in movies; now it’s time to introduce you to our dive-in movies: Float ‘n Flick! Come join us for an evening in the pool watching movies on our big screen. We will provide floats for participants to relax in. Note: only 50 tickets are available for purchase. Every member of a family must purchase a ticket to come in. March 25 / 6:15 p.m. $10 per person All Ages RCN Movie: How to Train Your Dragon PADDLE PEARLAND – INTRO TO KAYAKING Want to try your hand at kayaking? Drop in and use our equipment and pool! Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. For those too young to paddle themselves, staff will tow the kayak along the pool wall. All participants must wear lifejackets, which are provided on site. February 4 and May 13 / 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. $5 3+ years RCN SWIM TEST Need to know what swim lesson level to enroll your child? Need a specific swim card to go to camp? Each participant will be evaluated based on the American Red Cross Learn-to- Swim exit skills assessments for the level being tested. The highest-level certificate will be awarded upon successful completion. After this test, participants will be grouped and tested for specific swim skills required by various camps.
