PADDLE PEARLAND – KAYAKING TOUR Paddle Pearland is the perfect way to learn about Pearland’s native environment by kayak! Participants will go through a quick kayak-101 to make sure that everyone is comfortable with the basics before hitting the water. During the program, participants will get a close look at one of our bird rookeries, learn about the vital aquatic habitats throughout the Pearland area and enjoy a relaxing paddle on the pond. Kayaks, paddles and PFDs (personal flotation devices) will be provided. A participating adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18.

GUIDED NIGHT HIKES Guided Nature Hikes with the DFNC are family-friendly evening hikes that take place at different nature hot spots around Pearland. Each hike is tailored to search for different varieties of local nocturnal wildlife on Wild Night Hikes, Owl Prowls and Bat Walks! You’ll have an opportunity to learn from our knowledgeable staff about the natural environment and wildlife found along the Clear Creek Trail in Shadow Creek Ranch. Small groups of participants, with our staff at the lead, will seek out interesting features, important habitats, and visiting wildlife during the hike. A participating adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18.

FAMILY OUTDOOR ADVENTURE Who’s ready for an adventure? Our new Family Outdoor Adventure program is sure to be a hit with families who love to get outdoors! This program is a hybrid of our Family Camping Experience. Participants will join us at the park for an evening full of fun activities and demos. Staff will guide families through stations featuring outdoor activities and crafts, as well as equipment demos for camping supplies such as tents, hammocks and camp stoves. We will cook a “camp dinner” for participants and toast s’mores to end the program! A participating adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. Sat., April 29 / 4:30–8:30 p.m. $15 all ages IND
