Welcome to the Melvin Knapp Activity Center (KAC)! With over 600 active members, more than 20 exercise classes offered per week and countless opportunities for socialization, recreation and fellowship, the KAC seeks to redefine what the world sees as “Senior”! The KAC is a vibrant community comprised of the 50+ population of Pearland and its surrounding neighbors. The KAC features a lending library, a computer lab with printing and internet access, Wi-Fi throughout the entire building and a fitness room with three treadmills, two stationary bikes and a resistance machine. The KAC also features several accessory rooms that host various activities such as quilting, painting and game playing. Exercise classes for all skill levels are offered at the KAC in the spacious, mirrored exercise room, while all social activities, including daily lunch service provided through ActionS of Brazoria County, are hosted in the large multi-purpose room. The KAC is a membership-based facility. Membership is $25 per year for residents residing within the corporate city limits of Pearland and $50 per year for non-residents.
