Feed: Our bulls are summered on milk and grass without creep feed. At weaning, they are fed a roughage ration and free choice hay and summered on grass as yearlings. They have been developed on a complete mineral program. Our desire is to ensure soundness and longevity and to condition them to work in your pasture. Zoetis HD50K Testing What is it? - HD50K for Angus is a DNA genotyping technology from Zoetis designed for Angus producers and fully endorsed by the American Angus Association and Angus Genetics, Inc. Performing this test on each bull provides percentiles that compare over 1.3 million cattle in the Angus breed so we can continue offering the best cattle possible. Why is it useful? - It provides us as a seedstock producer with information to use to make culling decisions on bulls that just don’t meet the mark and it can help producers more accurately choose the right bull that will best fit in with their herd. It helps to provide comprehensive genetic and management solutions for beef producers. Select, mate, and market cattle with more confidence by using this data. By each bull, you will find 20 data points listed as percentiles to help with your selection decisions. There is also a side by side chart in the back of the catalog to serve as a quick reference and to compare bulls side by side with ease. We provide you this information so as to help you make decisions, not to confuse you so if you have questions, please let us know and we will do our best to explain!
