WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP

H ighly accomplished women of color shared their strategies for success during a two-day Women’s Leadership Summit last month at Renaissance Dallas Hotel in Dallas. Deryl McKissack, President/ CEO of McKissack and McKissack, the Honorable Sharon Weston Broome, first woman Mayor of Baton Rouge, and the Honorable Vanessa Gilmore, former U.S. District Judge, Southern District of Texas were among the outstanding women who headlined the event. The Honorable Helen Giddings and a roster of successful Dallas women founded the Summit in 2018.

SENIOR VP JOINS DDI BOARD

N oa Dowl, Senior Vice President at JBJ Management, has joined the Board of Governors at Downtown Dallas, Inc (DDI). DDI released a statement saying "We're thrilled to announce Noa as a new member of our board and are excited to welcome his contributions to Downtown Dallas."

event featuring Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson and presented by AT&T. The event will be held at 8:30am on October 18, 2022 at Moody Performance Hall . This event will be the final State of Downtown of Johnson's current term, and he will be sharing updates on the historic momentum of Dallas' urban core and will share his vision for the future.

BUILD FORT WORTH

Next month, DDI is hosting the 2022 State of Downtown

J BJ Management attended the Fort Worth Build Expo, held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center on August 19, 2022. At the 6th anniversary of this annual event, over 125 exhibitors turned out to network and provide information about their businesses and organizations. Co-hosted by the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association, the Fort Worth Build Expo was a success for Hispanic contractors and other Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to showcase their capabilities.
