Healthcare has come a loooonngg way. With technology advancing as quickly as it has and new research coming out each day we’re getting smarter and more efficient. Almost anywhere you go now, people’s watches can track how many steps they’ve taken, what elevation they’ve climbed, what their pulse rate is and how well they slept last night. on the table and rolling up a sleeve so your blood pressure can be taken. Then you sit and wait for your turn. Doctor comes in, reviews what they need to, makes their plan and your off on your way, see you next year! Historically, we just don’t do a great job of measuring movement on a regular basis. After walking to the exam room and climbing onto the table, when was the last time you did anything physical at your physical? Most commonly, we wait until we’ve already been injured until we test our flexibility, strength, and movement... maybe there is a better way? At Choice, we feel that the most empowering and beneficial part of Physical Therapy is gaining an understanding of how your body is supposed to be moving and how YOUR body may be compensating. Transitioning to a proactive approach as opposed to being reactive can make a world of difference both in terms of how you feel as well as how you move. If you’ve been dealing with nagging achiness and feel you’ve been patient enough letting it try to recover on it’s own, give us a call. One of our Physical Therapists would be happy to talk through a plan of attack to get you moving well and back to living life!

• Cholesterol • Blood Sugar • Flexibility • Strength • Movement
Who’s checking those last couple boxes for you? Think back to your last physical. You check in, update your paperwork, pay your copay and grab a seat in the waiting room ready to tear through the most recent edition of the AARP magazine (kidding aside, there are some good articles in there!). A nurse comes out, calls your name, you step on the scale, get your height, then it’s into the exam room. After getting situated
