Tennis: Extreme Cardio Tennis • AGES 18 AND UP These cardio classes push you to your training limits for 85 minutes. Coaches blast music and fast, tough feeds to get your heart pumping. The NTRP rating of 2.5+ is adhered to as drills are designed for players who already have a foundation of skills and the athleticism to really hustle. Players who are not at an appropriate level are offered alternative program options. Please bring water and a towel. If class is canceled due to weather, up to two makeups are held at regular class time the week after the end of the session. Matches are scheduled to start in the late afternoon on Friday, July 22 (with Friday, July 29 being reserved as a rain makeup day). To continue to encourage participation in this match-play style format, this year’s tournament is a round robin format. Depending on player registration, players play multiple matches against multiple opponents over a 2-3 hour period, with a modified scoring format (example an 8 game pro-set of 2 out of 3 short sets). Players must provide one new/unopened can of yellow championship tennis balls and be available during the full tournament timeframe. Registration deadline is Thursday, July 14. This concentrated session is designed for the beginner to advanced beginner player who wants to learn the basics of tennis quickly. It’s also great for players returning to tennis after several years. Program focus is on forehand, backhand, service and volley strokes. Players must wear tennis shoes and provide their own racquet. If class is canceled due to weather, a makeup will be held on Friday of the
Trapshooting Fundamentals • AGES 13 AND UP Learn trapshooting range etiquette and proper gun handling techniques from Naperville Sportsman’s Club instructors. Then, shoot a round of trap under the supervision of an instructor. Fee includes ammunition, clay targets, use of a shotgun and eye/ear protective gear.
