LEGO: STEM Explorations with LEGO® Materials • AGES 7-11 Master your engineering skills with tens of thousands of LEGO® pieces! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture through engineer-designed projects. To begin their learning, each student is given a white coat and real working stethoscope that’s theirs to keep. Participants will explore common tools that doctors use and examine a variety of topics including how air flows through the lungs, what happens to food when we eat, how the heart works, and what it’s like to be a surgeon. Each little doctor will even get to hear what their own heartbeat sounds like! This is a great opportunity for children to have fun role-playing while learning and growing their knowledge. Little Veterinarian School - Dog Camp • AGES 6-11 Little Veterinarian School for dogs is a S.T.E.M.-based curriculum where students assume the role of a veterinarian and learn the ABC’s of dog care. Participants will learn about lacerations and how to treat them and explore their dog’s digestive system and understand what proper nutrition looks like. We’ll also discuss how to prevent ticks and care for tick bites, understand characteristics of dog body language, try doggy yoga and talk about pet safety. Each student will take home a stuffed dog with a bandana, a play lab coat, water bowl and a tape measure. Each topic is presented through hands-on crafts, role-play and interactive demonstrations. Can your robot win a head-to-head combat mission? Learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using unique RoboThink bricks, then apply that knowledge to build multiple robots for friendly competitions. You’ll have a blast as you play robot soccer, compete in robot relay races and participate in other challenges in this fun robotics program. Kids will learn about space travel, stars and gravity, all while building interstellar robots and having fun along the way! Kids will have a blast exploring the world of robotic technologies as they build, learn and create. They will learn about hypothermia and water safety, natural disasters and practice splinting a broken leg, tying a tourniquet and filtering dirty water. Little Veterinarian School - Cat Camp • AGES 6-11 Do you have a budding young veterinarian in the house? Send them to Little Veterinarian School to learn all about cats! To begin their learning, each student is given a white coat and adopts a plush cat that’s theirs to keep. Participants will examine a variety of topics including how to assess the health of a pet feline, animal nutrition, how to care for stitches, reading cat body language, and how to ensure a happy and stress-free pet. They also will learn about the many kinds of veterinarian specialties and having fun role-playing while learning and growing their knowledge.
