PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION PROCESS
IMPORTANT DATES
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS • There is a $75 nonrefundable registration fee. • Two options are available for preschool payments. Please reference payment option information. • If your child is a new student, a copy of their birth certificate and current Certificate of Child Health Examination are required and will be collected at orientation.
JUNE 15, 2023 The Naperville Park District must receive requests to withdraw from the 2023-2024 preschool program by June 15, 2023 in order to receive a refund of your tuition payment. First tuition payment refunds will not be issued after this date. AUGUST 5, 2023 Preschool Welcome Letter will be mailed. You will receive a welcome packet at the beginning of August that will include your orientation time and supply list along with all of the required preschool forms. Please bring your completed forms and your child’s supplies to orientation. Preschool forms will not be accepted before orientation. All paperwork must be completed before your child will be allowed to start preschool. SEPTEMBER 6, 2023 Preschool teacher assignments will be posted on our website at napervilleparks.org/preschool. SEPTEMBER 11 & 12, 2023 ORIENTATION Orientation is an opportunity for you and your child to visit your child’s classroom and meet his/her teacher. Preschool orientation will be on Monday, September 11, 2023 for Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and Monday-Thursday programs. For Tuesday and Thursday and Tuesday-Thursday programs, orientation will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 First day of class for M-Th classes. SEPTEMBER 13, 2023 First day of class for MWF AND TWTH classes. SEPTEMBER 14, 2023 First day of class for T, TH classes.
• Preschool spots are available on a first come, first served basis. • Once your child has been registered for a preschool program, you may not waitlist that child for another preschool program. • Please note, depending on the program, your child must be 30 months, 3, or 4 by September 1. No exceptions will be made.
ONLINE REGISTRATIONS • Registration for preschool is online only. PAYMENT OPTIONS • Pay the full program fee at the time of registration.
• Pay the first tuition payment at the time of registration and enroll in the automatic payment plan where an additional eight equal tuition payments will be withdrawn from your checking account or charged to a credit/debit card. These payments will occur on the fifteenth of each month beginning September 15 through April 15. Credit/debit cards that are declined will be charged a $25 service fee by the Naperville Park District and may result in the forfeiture of this payment option. PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL Enrolling in preschool is a commitment that your child will attend for the entire preschool year. However, we do understand that situations arise that require a withdrawal from the program. The Naperville Park District must receive requests to withdraw from the preschool program by June 15 in order for you to receive a refund of your first tuition payment. First tuition payment refunds will not be issued after this date. The first tuition payment is nonrefundable for preschool program registrations received after June 15. Program withdrawal requests received after the start of preschool must be received two weeks before your child’s last day in order to receive a refund of tuition paid for days that your child will not attend due to withdrawing from the program. Program withdrawal requests will be accepted October 1 through March 1. Refunds will not be issued for program withdrawal requests received after March 1.
