All-Star Soccer Juniors • AGES 3-6 Keep kids active and engaged both mentally and physically in this great base to prepare them for the next level of play. Soccer is a game that is action-packed so there’s no sitting and waiting! The game of soccer is learned by hiding drills in fun games and using association techniques. Basic skills of dribbling, shooting passing and spacing are covered and expanded upon. Kids learn the importance of proper throwing mechanics, rotational hitting, bunting, fielding, pitching and catching. Speed and agility techniques are added to increase core strength and mobility for added bat speed, range in the field and linear speed for base running. Fun basketball-like games are played to teach the importance of each skill learned. The foundation technique focuses on basic mechanics to build confidence and then adds larger challenges. Footwork is an extremely important aspect of the game; no player sits! Players also work on dribbling with each hand, passing and shooting and understanding basic offense and defense in addition to learning teamwork and sportsmanship.
