Ice Skating: All Seasons • AGES 2 1/2-13 Ice skating is an exhilarating activity that also is an excellent form of exercise and fun for all ages. Kids in particular can benefit from the sport of skating by learning balance, skill and self-confidence. Please arrive approximately 30 minutes early on the first day to sign a waiver and have skates fitted properly. All skaters are required to become members of Learn to Skate USA which includes a $16 annual fee. Rental skates are available for $28 for the eight-week program. Ice Skating: Seven Bridges • AGES 3-13 The Seven Bridges Ice Arena philosophy is that anyone can learn to ice skate if they try their best. All ice skating programs feature experienced instructors and free practice sessions. For practice times and more information, please contact Seven Bridges at 630-271-4400. Gloves/ mittens and helmets are recommended for skaters and hockey players. Buddy passes are $2 (skate rental not included). Skate rentals are $3 each or 10 for $20. All skaters are required to be registered with the US Figure Skating Basic Skills Program. The annual membership fee is $14; registrations are due at the first class date and are payable to Seven Bridges Ice Arena. Only one makeup class is allowed per session. Ice Skating: Rocket Ice • AGES 4-14 The goal at Rocket Ice Arena is to provide a fun and safe environment for skaters to learn to skate and to be able to continue on in hockey or figure skating. From tot and up, lessons are presented in concise levels with each one focusing on skills that will serve as building blocks for future levels. After demonstrating mastery in one level, the student skater may proceed to the next. The curriculum works in conjunction with USFS Basic Skills Program that is taught in quality rinks worldwide. Please wear athletic pants and fleece jacket or similar fitted and warm jacket and bring gloves. Helmets are recommended. We have skates available to rent. Kids First Baseball Fundamentals • AGES 6-12 Players learn skills in pitching, fielding, running, batting and throwing. Proper body balance and first-step directional movements are emphasized all leading up to a championship game. Parents are invited to watch the game on the final day. Players should bring their glove and a water bottle. In case of rainout, time will be added equally to remaining sessions. Taught by Kids First Sports Safety, Inc. staff.
