Evangelism in an Age of Science fe u J jJ jL O m U JLAJJU 'A s CJL* S ERMONS FROM SCIENCE,” pre sented by Irwin A. Moon to hundreds of American audiences, have brought the gospel to countless men and women and young people who otherwise might not have been brought within sound of a gos pel message. Multitudes of persons who are prejudiced against all churches will not be evangelized unless they are drawn by an unusual appeal. Mr. Moon’s pro grams bring the most complete and spec tacular array of portable demonstration equipment in the country today—more than a ton of the latest and most powerful devices. tions of the Word of God, showing the necessity for the new birth, for forgiveness of sins, for new life in the crucified Son of God. The message is indeed “ First Cen tury Gospel—Twentieth Century Illustra tion.” Persons who attend Mr. Moon’s meet ings can see 1,000,000 volts discharge from a human body, metal floating in space, and dull gray rocks becoming glowing gems under a 20,000-volt iron arc, and can see and hear the human voice recorded inside a tiny thread of steel or projected on a beam of light. They can watch the growth of tiny crystals through a powerful polari- scope and can hear the rush of molecules inside a bar of steel. With the opening of the Golden Gate International Exposition in February, 1939, Mr. Moon expects to use his varied equip ment daily in a special building on the Fair Grounds. The Christian Business Men’s Committee of San Francisco is sponsoring the undertaking in an effort to evangelize thousands of visitors at the Fair. For this ministry, as well as for the meetings now being held in churches, a volume of prayer on the part of the Lord’s people can bring added blessing as the W ord of God is proclaimed in the power of His Spirit.

Five even ing "Sermons from Science" by Irwin A . Moon are scheduled for Ju ly 25 to 29 as a feature of the Bible conference week which closes the summer school offered from June 19 to Ju ly 29 at the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. The accompanying story describes some of the wonders to be expected at these outstanding gospel meetings. school and college assembly halls. In most such gatherings, of course, the state laws or local regulations prevent the giving of a Biblical message. But so fascinating to young people are these demonstrations that the interest stirred at the public schools often causes more than fifty per cent of the evening church congregations to be com posed of high school, college, and university students. At these evening evangelistic meetings, Mr. Moon prayerfully and pow erfully uses his equipment to give illustra
