H OBOKEN,NJ —Hobo- ken, NJ-based Bijou Properties continues to be recognized both locally and nationally for its dedicated effort to create sustainable buildings and environmentally- conscience communities in this Hudson County City. Most recently, the company was named “Green Business of the Year” by the Hoboken Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s 2nd Annual Business Awards Dinner held November 13th at the Hoboken Elks Club. Bijou Properties was cited for its commitment to environmental sustainability and demonstrated cost savings associated with resource use efficiency. “The goal with each of our new development projects is to introduce buildings that not only provide premium, sustainable living residences, but also significantly benefit the community-at-large,” says Lawrence Bijou , managing partner of Bijou Properties. “This includes public services and amenities, as well as uti- lizing the most innovative green design techniques and building practices to conserve existing building should start with monitoring and track- ing of utility bills.
