As we approach the new school year, I hope you are looking forward to the many exciting things that you have the opportunity to learn this year. Whether you are moving from kindergarten to first grade or are moving from Algebra I o Algebra II, you have mastered one set of skills and are now ready to tackle the next set. It’s important each year to take every opportunity to continue to develop our knowledge and skills. I encourage you to become self-disciplined in your study habits. Make sure to ask good questions, participate in class discussions and READ, READ, READ! It doesn’t matter what grade level or subject you are taking; your teachers are prepared to help you grow. Learning is our Focus. TEACHERS, I am confident that you have been very intentional in planning for a positive culture in your classroom that is conducive to teaching and learning. STUDENTS, we have high expectations for you in class and for some, learning can be quite the challenge. We want to support you in every way possible, so don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it. Remember: A positive attitude, even when you approach difficult situations, is always better than a negative one.

Welcome back to a new school year, and new memories! The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind you that drugs make you less able to do well in school, sports, and other activities. It impairs your ability to think clearly and make good decisions and life choices. Trying drugs for even the first time can lead to death. As you embark on your new journey this year, remember that drugs should NOT be a part of that journey. Enjoy your new adventures while staying drug-free!
