Abstract: This study looks into whether Trump's policies were a part of the general American context in the conflict with Iran or a particularity in the history of conflict between the two countries within the framework of comparative descriptive methodology. It concludes that they were policies differed from US contexts in dealing with the international community and its issues, and reached an extent in the conflict with Iran that previous administrations had not reached. Nonetheless, Trump’s policies failed to achieve their objective of getting Tehran to sign a new agreement.
