The BEST GIVING BACK of 2022

Sax strives for more than growth and success for the firm. It is embedded in the firm’s culture to support our surrounding communities and use our strength to pick up others. Sax offers team members a paid time off day to use for volunteering for charity, and facilitates a number of volunteer events and donation drives annually to make it easy for team members to give back to local organizations including Paterson Habitat for Humanity, Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children, The Community FoodBank of NJ, American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, United Way of Passaic County, Bergen County Volunteer Center and the New Jersey Community Development Corporation. Since 2012, Sax has held its annual run/walk event called the 4 Miler at Garret Mountain which raises money for the Child Life Department at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ. In 2022, the firm raised $115,000 which brought the total raised since the event’s inception to over $800,000 that directly benefits the hospital’s pediatric patients undergoing treatment. For the past five years, Sax has also held its annual Founders’ Award, awarding $15,000 to a local nonprofit that best show- cases its organization in the application process. This process consists of a 5-minute non-professional video answering questions relating to the year’s theme. The second and third prize winners receive volunteer hours from Sax staff to help assist organizations in projects that help further the nonprofit’s mission. Sax makes it enticing and effortless for team members to donate to local organizations year-round. In 2022, Sax LLP raised money for 38 different organizations with this initiative.

Caring is deeply rooted in Morgan Properties’ culture and the company is passionate about positively impacting the lives of the many communities in which it serves. Morgan Properties’ Caring. Sharing. Giving. program aims to increase awareness and support for charitable organizations and causes that the employee base passionately supports, on both the local and national levels. The company, with the help of both its employees and residents, gives back through its partnerships with charities like Habitat for Humanity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, American Red Cross, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities. This support is a combination of traditional fundraising efforts, often with a corporate matching element, and the contribution of time through volunteer efforts. In 2022, the Caring. Sharing. Giving. program supported over 28 charitable causes through corporate giving and fundraised an additional $50,000 with the help of employees and residents nationwide, resulting in countless smiles and warm hearts.
