Vertical Mixed Use (Retail and residential) Size: 530 units of apartments and condominiums 100,000 SF of grocer and retail, and 980 structured parking spaces This mixed-use community, directly adjacent with on-site access to the new Chevy Chase Purple line station creates 530 residential units, an Amazon Fresh “just walk out technology” grocer, premium restaurants and boutique shopping, and subterranean parking on 9 acres within miles of Washington DC. The three high-design masonry articulated residential buildings rest over full podiums of dining and shopping experiences. The trapezoidal-shaped site positions all three uniquely styled buildings to an open woonerf plaza filled with outdoor seating, fountains, artwork and pedestrian opportunities. The buildings are designed in the style of 20th-century architecture in the region with deep cornices, balconies, and intricate stonework. All three buildings have been designed with green building components to be certified as LEED Silver projects.

Muncy, PA Adaptive Reuse Size: 66,000 GSF
Located in Newark’s South Ward, the new ground-up Clinton Hill Early Childhood Learning Center marked a milestone when it welcomed its first students (6 mo. – 4 years old) in June, 2022. The two-story center’s design addresses a limited site that required adherence to local zoning/land-use require- ments while also providing a secure, visual and welcoming connection to the surrounding community. Designed with 16 classrooms, the light-filled facility features office space, indoor play areas, inner courtyard and a play-therapy suite. Additionally, there is a 200-person multipurpose room for school functions, services and community use; family childcare resource room; and commercial-grade kitchen.
Miele’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing and operations head- quarters builds quality, contract gaming machines for nationwide markets. Having a contemporary, fun, and collaborative environment was imperative for the company’s expansion. The dynamic facility has a museum for antique gaming machines, a gymnasium, and a gaming area for all employees to enjoy.
