Jorgensen Prominent Sire Lines
Stemming from the Jorgensen foundation ABS sires Rito N Bar and RR Rito 707, this pioneer performance lineage has made a monumental impact on the Angus breed for more than half of a century. This sire line spawned a host of famous sires including Rito 707 of Ideal 533 70 (Rito 149), Rito 707 of Ideal 836 71 (Rito 72), Jetliner 707 of Conanga, PBC 707 1M F0203, Rito Idealist, Rito 707 of Ideal 3407 7075, SAV Resource 1441, SAV Renown 3439, SAV Quarterback 7933, Ideal All Pro, Rito 0040 Magnum of Ideal and a multitude of others.

The most prevalent lineage in the Angus breed today was produced in the Jorgensen program stemming from the Jorgensen foundation sire Camilla Bandolier M 47X who in turn sired Band M 47 X of Ideal 53 70, the sire of Band 602 of Ideal 928 72 (Band 234) who was joined in the ABS AI Stud by his famous son Band 234 of Ideal 3163 (Band 105). The Band 105 sons QAS Traveler 23-4 and Tehama Band 155 each perpetuated lasting legacies with generations of descendants who have seen widespread use and led the breed for annual registrations.

The Eldorado sire lineage distinguished in the Jorgensen program stems from Band 234 of Ideal 3191 (Band 116) who in turn sired the ABS sire Band 116 of Ideal 2118 7174 (Band 174). That bull’s important son Eldorado 156 of Ideal, left a lasting legacy in the Jorgensen program including his famous descendant Ideal 1418 of 8103 4286, and extending further to the Pathfinder Sire Ideal 9524 of 5570 6809 and ultimately to the popular Ideal Encore of 9524 Lady who has taken his place as the highest valued bull produced in the history of the Jorgensen Angus program.

Eldorado 156 of Ideal
The Emulous sire lineage is widely recognized for pioneer performance and carcass genetics stemming from a heritage of world-record gaining bulls and the breed’s very first Certified Meat Sires. A select assortment of Emulous bulls have been utilized very successfully in the Jorgensen program including the famous EE 30 1254 of Ideal 5254 960 who became immortalized as the sire of the legendary cow EE 4286 of Ideal 2240 1254.

The Emulation sire lineage offers strong contributions to the breed in terms of fertility, maternal strength, udder quality, longevity and carcass traits. The linebred Emulation 31 bull, N Bar Emulation EXT, is the most widely used sire in the history of the Angus breed who led the breed for registrations for five consecutive years. Most recently, the sires SAV Elation 7899 and N Bar Emulation EXT A1747, have positively contributed to the Jorgensen program.
