SOLUTION OF THE MONTH: HVR100 FLIP
What it is : The HVR100 FLIP is a bench-top Vision system that can be configured to be in a vertical or horizontal orientation. Switching between the two orientations takes a matter of seconds. What it’s good for: The large field of view lens is ideal for quick checks of multiple part features on small parts; either in receiving or during in-process inspection. What makes it special: System can be strategically placed on shop floor and set to pattern recognition mode. Once in pattern recognition mode, simply placing any part that exists in the system within the field of view will automatically call up and run the inspection routine for that part. Why that’s important: With pattern recognition the inspection process itself becomes automated. System allows multiple users to run various parts or multiples of the same part with no down time. Faulty parts can be caught in real time, often before creating costly re-work or scrap.
