Board Converting NEWS INTERNET DIRECTORY

Norwalk, Connecticut based Metsä Board, a leading Eu- ropean producer of premium fresh fiber paperboards and part of Metsä Group, has once again achieved the highest Platinum level in the 2025 EcoVadis sustainability assess- ment. The company has achieved the highest level rating every year since 2017. Metsä Board ranks among the top one percent of com- panies globally in the paper, paperboard, and packag- ing manufacturing category, with a score of 91/100. The company received high scores across all four assessment categories: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. "Our customers place a high value on strong sustain- ability performance. Our consistent top performance in the EcoVadis assessment year after year reflects our dedica- tion to environmental and social responsibility. We have recently updated our 2030 sustainability targets and cli- mate transition plan to further support our customers in achieving their own sustainability goals, such as reducing the carbon footprint of packaging solutions," says Esa Kaik- konen, Metsä Board's CEO. The methodology and criteria used are in line with international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000.
