Trend Tracker Survey Shows Gaps In Consumer Information BY GREG KISHBAUGH Two Sides North America has released its 2025 Trend Tracker for the United States and Canada. This international study, commissioned by Two Sides and conducted by independent research firm Toluna, gath- ered insights from more than 12,400 consumers across 17 countries to better understand perceptions of paper, print, packaging, and tissue products. The results reveal a mix of progress and persistent misconceptions.

Labelexpo Asia 2025 Opens Registration

Labelexpo Asia 2025 has opened registration for the event, taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), De- cember 2-5. The show is expected to attract more than 450 exhibitors across 40,000 square meters, a 20 percent increase from the previous iter- ation in 2023. The Asia-Pacific region remains the largest consumer of labels globally, accounting for approximately 45 percent of the total market, and China, producing 58 percent of Asia’s la- bel consumption, the leading region for the industry. Displaying Flexo The show will display a wealth of flexog- raphic and digital printing technologies. The increasing interconnection of label printing and expansion into flexible packag- ing is also a key technological trend present- ed on the show floor. Here are a few key takeaways from the U.S. and Canadian findings: Forests Are Growing—But Few Know It Despite being rooted in sustainability, the paper industry still bat- tles myths. Only 16 percent of Americans and 15 percent of Canadians surveyed were aware that their countries’ forests are growing or are stable in size. In fact, U.S. forests grew by 18 million acres between 1990 and 2020. In Canada, 90 percent of forests are on public land and are legally required to be regenerated after harvest, which has left them consis- tently stable in size with modest growth over the past 10 years.
