into Gender in Culture and Society • MEMO: the Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Research As a PhD or MPhil student you will be expected to attend research events (such as colloquia or weekly seminars) with guest speakers. STING: Swansea Translation and Interpreting Group holds weekly events that gathers those who are interested in translation and interpreting. Students, staff members and visitors are all welcome to give a talk, share an idea, or even discuss their current projects and get valuable feedback from others in a friendly atmosphere. The group, led by Arabic MLTI PGR students, organises social and research activities including research seminars, annual Arabic PGR conference, social events and community relations. QTL: QTL is a scholarly research group bringing together scholars from across the world to promote and enhance the study of the language of the Qur’an as a text. Research activities include conferences, academic publications, and an online academic journal.
All research students belong to the Graduate Centre in the College of Arts and Humanities. The Centre provides pastoral as well as administrative support and is also responsible for research skills training and support, and facilitating a lively intellectual environment for the College’s postgraduate research community of 200 students.
